Kim Winslow is the first female mixed martial arts referee

RENO, NV, October 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kim Winslow, MMA Referee, Inventor, Motivational Speaker, Mentor and Reverend of Kimberly Winslow LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in her career.

With 18 years of professional experience, Mrs. Winslow attributes her success to her ability to constantly challenge herself and set goals and standards most would shy away from. Her responsibilities at Kimberly Winslow LLC include promoting safety, seeing to rule enforcement, and providing continuing education and branding services. She has studied Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, grappling, kickboxing, and street fighting. Mrs. Winslow traveled with Armed Forces Entertainment and SemperFights to Mosul, Iraq to referee the first MMA Fights in a war zone in 2009. Previously, she worked as an air traffic controller, movie producer, and professional singer.

Mrs. Winslow earned a degree in theology, and is continuing her education in psychology/sociology. She is a certified air traffic control specialist, certified air traffic control instructor, certified Mixed Martial Arts Referee and an ordained minister. A member of the International Sports Combat Federation and the ISKA, she is also affiliated with the State Athletic Commissions of Nevada, California, New Jersey, North Dakota, Idaho, Florida and Georgia. Mrs. Winslow has a patent for an improved safer glove for combat sports. She is writing a book aimed at inspiring women to work in male dominated fields. In addition to being a referee, Mrs. Winslow currently mentors 16 to 24 year olds through the Department of Labor. She is involved with the following charities: Wounded Warriors, Operation HomeFront, Wigs For Kids, Make A Wish Foundation, National Organ Donors, and the American Cancer Foundation.
