George R. Stockerl Joins the Ranks of Leading Professionals
George R. Stockerl celebrates 50 years in the engineering industry

DEER PARK, NY, January 28, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --George R. Stockerl, Retired Industrial Engineering Estimator for Sperry Gyro (1957-1960), Airborne Instruments Laboratory Inc. (1960-1993), EDO Corp. (1960-1993) and ITT Corporation, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in engineering.

Currently retired, Mr. Stockerl has 50 years of experience in the aerospace industry. With an expertise in mathematics, he worked as a supervisor in experimental sheet metal before he was asked to work as an estimator. He retired in 1993.

Mr. Stockerl graduated from Brooklyn Tech High School in 1950 with a focus on Aeronautical coursework, received his Associate Degree in Mathematics from Nassau Community College. He was a member of the Old Bethpage Historical Baseball Team, the 1866 Brooklyn Excelsiors, and served for 12 years as the president of his local Civic Association for eight years. In his spare time, he volunteers for The Cradle of Aviation Museum. He is listed as a CWO4 (aircraft maintenance) officer in the Washington, DC naval memorial, 36 years naval air reserve 1950-1986 (Cold War Recognition) and attributes his success to his education. He still serves as an Extraordinary Minister at St. Barnabas RC Church, Bellmore (34 years).
