Barbara A. Taylor, multi-awarded professional, brings 20 years of experience to Boeing
INGLEWOOD, CA, April 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Barbara A. Taylor, Senior Manager of Supplier Diversity Corporate Integration for Boeing, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in aerospace operations support.
Specialized in strategic organizational planning, Barbara A. Taylor lends over 20 years of professional experience to Boeing as the Senior Manager of Supplier Diversity Corporate Integration. She utilizes her leadership skills to enhance a diverse supply base including small and diverse businesses. Ms. Taylor's responsibilities with Boeing are numerous and diverse, and include identifying, developing and deploying lean and efficient common processes and tools, and training. Additionally, she manages integration and ensures the continuous process improvement of supplier diversity company-wide.
The recipient of numerous recognitions, Ms. Taylor was selected for inclusion in the National Association of Women Business Owners Hall of Fame, Los Angeles and Orange County Chapter. She was honored with the Small Business Advocate of the Year Award by the Small Business Administration and the Legal Defense Woman of the Year Award by the National Association for the Advancement for Colored People. Ms. Taylor was also the recipient of Minorities in Business Magazine "Corporate Trailblazers Award"; Career Focus Magazine "Eagle Award", and Los Angeles County Commission for Women "Woman of the Year", the Women of Color Technology All-Star Award from Career Communications Group Inc. and was named Professional of the Year in Aerospace Operations Support by Cambridge Who's Who. In addition to her leadership qualities, she credits her trustworthy nature, educational background, strong work ethics and top-notch interpersonal skills to her success.
Ms. Taylor holds a master of arts in management from National University, earned in 1988. She completed certificate programs at UCLA Anderson School of Management Women's Leadership Institute as well as at the African American Leadership Institute. She sits on the advisory board of the Small Business Development Center of Long Beach and maintains affiliation with the Aerospace Industries Association, the Boeing Aerospace Leadership Chapter, the Boeing Amelia Earhart Society and the Boeing Black Employees' Association. As she moves forward in her career, Ms. Taylor intends to become more actively involved in community work. She would also like to share her knowledge and experience of the aerospace industry as an educator or consultant.
