/Aerospace - Aviation News Articles/ - Saint Louis, MO, September 10, 2008, Marvin Woods, Principal of Project Controls Group, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in project management.

Mr. Woods has enjoyed a multi-discipline career that has spanned 25 years and has included work experience in aerospace and defense, environmental remediation, and transportation and construction management. Now on his fifth year at his current position, he specializes in project management, program development, work breakdown structure development, critical path method scheduling, cost engineering, document control, cost and schedule earned value analysis and program management software systems. Project Controls Group is a project management firm that provides comprehensive and specialized project, program and construction management services. These services include cost estimating and management, financial management, budget control and reporting, cash flow and financial analysis, program commitment and expenditure forecast, funding source administration costs, schedule integration and tracking, monthly progress reporting, design and construction contract administration and project administration. Mr. Woods attributes his success to his dedication, hard work and persistence.

In addition to being a Certified Cost Engineer, Mr. Woods holds an MBA from Lindenwood University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management, with emphasis on Electrical Engineering, from the University of Missouri, Rolla. He is a past vice president and a member of the board of directors of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering, and an adjunct professor at Washington University in St. Louis, where he teaches graduate level courses in cost estimating and cost engineering. Additionally, he has shared his knowledge as a guest lecturer and training seminar instructor at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, at the St. Louis Development Corporation, at St. Louis Airport, and at the Disadvantaged Minority and Women's Business Enterprise. Recognitions he has been honored with include Marquis Who's Who in the Southwest, an Outstanding Young Man of America Award and a Alternate Small Business Person of the Year Award from the St. Louis District. Mr. Woods is also a member of the University of Missouri at Rolla Chancellor's Commission for Minority Recruitment and Retention.
