With 37 years of professional experience, Ms. Godwin excels in negotiating contracts and training and guiding junior- level negotiators. She is responsible for managing complex contracts with different agencies, including the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, the U.S. Navy Consolidated Brig, the U.S. Navy Corps of Engineers, the U.S. Army Guard Services, the U.S. Army Space and Missile Command, the U.S. Air Force, the Department of Homeland Security, and the National Park Service. Upon her retirement from the Department of Defense-Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in September 2005, Ms. Godwin had attained the position of Senior Contracting Officer/Assistant Division Head. She considers awarding a 100-million-dollar contract to the U.S. Air Force for Communications Technical Support Services in Southwest Asia in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as required by the United States Central Command Air Force (USCENTAF) Shaw Air Force Base as one of her greatest professional accomplishments. She stays current with the trends in her profession by following the government contracting rules set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement.

Ms. Godwin earned her Master's Degree in Management and Human Resources Development from Webster University in 1998 and completed numerous training programs in the contracting field. A few of the professional developments include: Executive Contracting Seminar, Management for Contacting Supervisors, Ethics in Training for Acquisition Technology and Logistics, Performance-Based Services Acquisition, Advanced Source Selection, Best Value Source Selection, Earned Value Management, Performance Based Acquisitions/Evaluation Methodologies, Intermediate Contact Pricing, Government Contact Law, Acquiring Federal Information Processing (FIP) Resources and Defense Cost and Price Analysis. She holds certifications from Dale Carnegie in Performance Development and Leadership Advantage. She has received 21 Outstanding Awards and numerous Letters of Appreciation from the Department of Defense - Navy, the Meritorious Unit Commendations Award, the Excellence in Mission Support Award, the Acquisition Professional Community Award, an award for submitting to the Navy numerous Computer Program Change Requests for the Automated Procurement Accounting System amounting to a savings to the Government of $6.7 Million dollars and bonus awards from Alutiiq, LLC.
